Basque country is a great spot for people of the music artwork scene and it’s good to see, that some of them stay there for a longer time. After a short trip to Barcelona Markel returned and enriches the scene with his trippy artworks and his view on things.

Wie bei so gut allen Artwork Künstlern ist eine Basis ihres Schaffens die Liebe zur Musik und zu ausgewählten Bands, eine Triebfeder für Viele, mit den Malen zu starten. So gings auch Karen und Fil als sie auf einem Flatstock neben ihren Lieblingsbands auch mit Gig Poster in Berührung kamen. Heute produzieren die beiden heavy Illus für Heavyhitters wie The Melvins.


The foundation of every artist is his or her love for music and certain bands, the fuel for the feverish desire to create band artworks. Karen and Fil started to share the same passion when they came in contact with gig poster at a flatstock for the first time. Today they’re producing heavy illus for heavy hitters like The Melvins.

Heute lebt Nychos in LA und bringt mit seinen transzendenten Graffitis neue Ideen und Ansätze auf die Straße.


What’s a guy with a ultra-massive talent for drawing doing with a spray can: First, he covers every corner of Vienna with colour, then he conquers the whole world with his crazy murals. Today, Nychos lives in LA offers the new ideas through his transcending art to their viewers.

Klingt witzig, ist aber so. Und übrigens nachvollziehbar, tischt Maciej doch mehrere extrem ausgereifte Stile auf.


Maciej chose the left path and bows before the darker crafts. Death Metal artworks, Black Metal Covers, some book illustrations for horror storeies and - ski designs. Sounds obscure, but it's the truth and comprehensive because Maciej offers a few very different fulsome styles to his clients.

Back then, surfing was a thing in Portugal but today they have Crustpunk - at least in Andrè's life bubble! Whatever he's bringing out of his head on paper is black as the darkest night and a joy to consume for every lover of crust and hardcore punk.

When myspace was THE thing and you were into metal these days, there was no chance not to see Róbert's incredible work. Almost every relevant band of the then emerging  scene in deathmetal, metalcore, grind and mathcore worked with him on their visual appearance until he settled back a bit to focus on his career as a tattoo artist - with success! Next to founding his own studio in Budapest he's working on skins like the one of Hollywood-Star Jason Momoya (Aquaman) or celebrating the release of his first best-of book last year!

Frisch zurück aus dem sonnigen Kalifornien hat sich Agnes entschieden mitten in Linz ein kleines, feines Tattoostudio zu eröffen. Mit ihrem Spezi Armin bietet sie verschiedenst Stile - vom manga-inspirierten Flashes bis zum düsteren Dotwork, da ist für jeden was dabei.

Back from California Agnes decided to settle down and to open a small tattoo studio straight in the center of Linz. With her buddy Armin she offers at 'zur schwarzen hand' different styles of tattoos to her customers, from manga-inspired stuff to dotted unicorns, everything is possible.

Armin is mostly-known locally for being the head of lentia-crushers Distaste and his way to represent the culture he's into since 2 decades: Grindcore. No surprise that the logo of one of his ultimate heroes covers parts of his full-tattooed body. You can meet him next to Agnes at 'zur schwarzen hand' tattooing dark stuff for like-minded people.

Born and raised behind the iron curtain, Michal moved to Vienna in mid-2000 in search of inspiration and empty walls to get covered. With his roots in punk and comic he combines his heritage under the writer-name NDZW rocking walls with his unique panel-style and abstract storytelling all over Europe.

Diy von Kopf bis Fuß, vom Wissen bis zum Siebdruck: Sascha liebt es Dinge auszuprobieren, zu schweitern und zu lernen. In seinem selbstgebautem Siebdruckatelier arbeitet er für die lokale Punkszene Leipzigs’ und released auch öfters mal ein Schallplattencover.

Diy from the head to toe, from his artistic education to his knowledge in screenprinting: Sascha loves to try out things, to fail, to learn, to improve. In his self-built screenprinting atelier he's creating awesome prints for local shows and sometimes nice vinyl artworks for the german punk-scene.

If you're into the german punk, post-punk and hardcore scene you definitely stumbled upon Bennys work in some ways. A lot of bands love to work with him on new artworks for vinyl or tape releases, t-shirt designs and even screenprinted gigposters are a thing Benny is into.

Gut für uns dass er hier ist - seine Skills sind wunderbar und werden die ganze Szene bereichern.

There’s a new boy in town and his middle name is Baguette - just kidding, after thousand of miles on tour with his bands, Camille settled in Austria for starting a living with his soulmate. Good for us to have him here - his skills are amazing and his appearance a benefit for the whole illustration scene in Austria.

Vienna-based Hannes is one of the 'oldies' within the austrian tattoo-scene showing his enormous skills not only on skin, but on posters, too: He and a couple of friends started Sauzipf Festival back in the 90ies. Since then, he's in charge of the yearly festivalposters, which artworks are cult and well known all over Austria.
