Österreichs Subkultur LEBT, erfreut sich hoher Beliebtheit und starkem Zugehörigkeitsgefühl seitens Fans und Musiker. Im Dunstkreis der Musikszene hat sich in den letzten 10 Jahren eine Gruppe von bildenen Künstlern entwickelt, die mit hochqualitativen Arbeiten Bands und Veranstalter in ihrem Schaffen mit Artworks unterstützen und mittlerweile auch für grosse internationale Acts aus Rock, Pop-Punk, Indie und Metal arbeiten.
Gruppen wie Pearl Jam, Blink-182, Pixies, Mastodon, NOFX, Elder, Texta, Wanda, Voodoo Jürgens und Co. sowie Festivals wie das Lake on fire Festival greifen auf Artworks dieser Künstler zurück. Diese Künstler sind innerhalb aber auch außerhalb der Szene vielen ein Begriff und sind fallweise schon regionale Kultfiguren. Jetzt ist es an der Zeit diese Künstler gesammelt zu präsentieren und erstmals ihre Arbeiten gemeinsam in einem Buch darzustellen.

Austrian subculture is ALIVE and people indentify with the artists running the scenes and the attitude they stand for.
At the borders of the national music scene, artists from related professions started to make a living with works for touring bands, venues and promoters and are now well-know side acts to local events and even international acts from Rock, Pop-Punk, Indie and Metal.
Acts like Pearl Jam, Blink-182, Pixies, Mastodon, NOFX, Elder, Texta, Wanda, Voodoo Jürgens and others and well-established festivals like Lake on Fire Festival uses the help of those artists presenting their stuff in the right light and push themselves on another level.
Now, it is time to celebrate these artists with a collection of their best works, stuffed together on 264 pages.

Grenzen erweitern - aus geografischer und künstlerischer Perspektive! Rock, Punk, Metal und Alternative Music sind offene Kulturen ohne Grenzen und Limitierung und auch wir erweitern mit dieser Ausgabe unser Spektrum.
Neben nationalen Künstlern aus dem Music Artwork Kosmos zeigt THE RAW STUFF Volume II Music Artwork Artists aus dem Umland und genreverwandten Medien. Relevante Leute aus der Street Art-, Alternative Illustration und Tattooszene, die neben ihren Projekten in diesen künstlerischen Feldern auch durch ihre Arbeit für Bands, Locations und Festivals bekannt sind, schließen sich uns in dieser Ausgabe an und zeigen ihre feinsten Arbeiten der letzten Jahre.
Es ist eine Genugtuung zu sehen, dass die Idee von Rock, Punk und Metal auch ausserhalb ihrer Subkulturen existiert und durch verschiedenste Medien über die ganze Welt verbreitet wird.

THE RAW STUFF Volume II is about expanding boundaries - from a geographical and artistic view.
Rock, Punk, Metal and alternative music are open cultures with no borders and limitation, that’s why this edition presents a broader spectrum of our culture.
We invited, next to national artists, people from austria’s surrounding countries to become part of our growing community and we expand the fields of mediums we present in this edition. Next to music artworks in all its forms and shapes, key artists of the tattoo-, alternative illustration and street art scene, who are known for their profession and their work for music groups and festivals, too, will join us to present their nicest works of the last years.
It’s just enjoyable to see that the idea of Rock, Punk and Metal exists outside their subcultures and is carried around the world through different formats!

This year’s edition showcases artists from Germany, Italy, France, Spain, Andorra (!), Portugal, The Netherlands, Belgium, Uk, Austria, Poland and Hungary and features artworks from stadium-sized bands to local underground acts: It’s not soley about the big names (but there are many inside, don’t worry), it’s about the quality of the visuals which keeps the new edition as vibrant as it is.
